Religious Life

Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.

The St Luke’s Catholic Primary School Revesby community is deeply rooted in the mission of Jesus, offering various opportunities for students, staff, and parents to celebrate their Catholic faith. This is achieved through Masses, liturgies, prayer groups, retreats, and spirituality days. Daily prayer is a significant part of our routine, bringing the community together to reflect on the needs of families and the wider community.

Religious education is a top priority at St Luke’s, and we encourage families to join us on this enriching journey with their children. Catholic values are seamlessly integrated across the curriculum and are evident in our daily interactions. Our School Family Educator, Terrie Yule, plays a crucial role in strengthening the bond between the school, families, and the parish through various activities such as playgroups, book clubs, spiritual crafts, and family Masses.

Staff at St Luke’s are also supported in nurturing their own faith through opportunities for further study in Religious Education and Theology, as well as through prayer, reflection, retreats, and pilgrimages. Each year, we focus on spirituality for staff as part of an ongoing faith formation plan, connecting our hearts and inspiring us to serve the wider community. Our Parish Priests are integral to our community, participating in celebrations, sharing meals after grade Masses, and regularly visiting classrooms to engage with students.
