By connecting to the real world of students’ lives, authentic learning enables students to become lifelong learners who contribute to society and the wider world as active and discerning citizens. Authentic learning is central to our work as Catholic educators because it promotes the continual growth and wellbeing of the whole person — spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.
St Luke’s Catholic Primary School Revesby offers a curriculum that is child-centred and has a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills. We aim to develop in students the skills of independent and cooperative learning and critical thinking. We are committed to the implementation of innovative and contemporary teaching practices that endeavour to meet the needs of students through differentiation and integration of the curriculum.
At St Luke’s Catholic Primary School Revesby a wide variety of assessment tools are used to measure student growth and achievement. These assessments allow students, teachers and parents to work together to set individual learning goals and celebrate success.
